With the popularization of the digital imaging device, such as digital camera, consumers put forward more and more high demand for its performance. The difficult in the current CCD imaging system's development has mainly two elements:low resolution and small dynamic range. This two defects impact the performance of the CCD imaging system seriously. Therefore, in this article, we come up with a solution for expanding the imaging system's dynamic range.System adopts LCoS and DSP combining ways to realize the expansion of the imaging system's dynamic range. In this system, LCoS is mainly used to adjust the reflection of the light which will achieve the CCD image sensor; DSP system uses DaVinci digital image processing platform:TMS320DM6437 launched by TI recently. According the received image data, the DSP system uses some algorithm to determine reflection of the below picture frame and make its role to LCoS through the controller. So the LCoS's reflection is adjusted, and high dynamic range image is obtained. In the end of the paper, we give the system principle diagram, experiment of the algorithm and the final results of the experiment. Based on the analysis of the experimental results, it is concluded that this system for extending dynamic range is feasible.
