With the improvement of electric power informatization level, any problems about information security of power system may threaten the safe operation of grid. Normally, the illegal use of a lot of application software in power system and unauthorized access to power information systems are possible to cause different information safety issues of power system, so it has important and practical significance to protect the application software and information system of power systemThis paper designed a kind of hardware called the encryption lock which is based on the USB interface to make protection for application software of power system.With the consideration of hardware security, the integrated chips CY7C68013 with high strength was chosen to design the hardware of the encryption lock,then to develop hardware firmware procedures and device drivers according to the functional requirement of the encryption lock, so as to gain a device which can realize functions such as encryption processing, the information authentication and so on. In order to facilitate information configuration of the encryption lock, a encryption lock initialization tool was designed by vc + +. According to the characteristics of application software in power system, it designed two kinds of software protection scheme which are the embedded code protection and the shell encryption protection, then combined these two kinds of protection scheme to take encryption protection for software of power system, so as to prevent effectively illegal use of the software. Based on software protection, the paper introduced a safer method of identity authentication through the encryption lock instead of traditional user name and password, making users more security to login power information system.
