| This thesis has analyzed the methods of applying data mining to college enrollment based on the real situation of vocational college enrollment, and has mined the data of students sources of recent years with decision trees. An analysis has been made on such factors as the genders, grades, types, specialties, hobbies and income standards of the student sources, in search of the connection between their majors applied and their respective features, thus promoting vocational college enrollment by providing strategic information.The thesis has elaborated on the designing of data mining models, functional modules and decision tree modules for student source analysis, established a data mining model, and introduced the realization and testing of a data mining system for student source analysis in detail. The corresponding decision tree and its rule set have been formed, which can be used for prediction of student behaviors. The analysis of the testing results may be conductive to the improvement of enrollment publicity in vocational colleges.The designing of a student source analysis system and its functions has been completed, despite some room for further modification and improvements, for instance, the improvement of the model design to supplement more factors, such as learning conditions and regional economic development, which may affect the application of students, to increase the reliability of the system. |
