| With the rapid development of Internet technology, the human society entered the new era which was regarded information technology as center. Followed the development of the times, the information department of Governments, Enterprises and institutions provide a more humane network services for their own unit of users in every stage of the development of internet technology by using different software and hardware platform. The lack of unified planning and the lack of industry standard lead to most internet application and service system scattered, also produce serious information island. Because each business departments increasingly contact closely, it needs to put these isolated system related organically for improving information sharing.In order to increase profitability, improve the production efficiency and reduce the cost of management, enterprise unit first made a series of research and application to solve problems of the information island just like the technology of Middleware and SOA architecture. In the process, it accumulated a lot of research achievements and experience. Taking example by these experiences, Government departments and institutions including colleges also do the research for solving Information Island.Research on Information Island of universities was does in this paper. First, it expounds the concept of Information Island, expounds the influence of Information Island and expounds the way to solving question. Second, it compares the middleware technology which appeared in recent years to solve problems, Web Services for example. And then, it does the research for the Web single-point login technology (SSO) and the corresponding safety authentication technology, including SAML and CAS. At the last, it presents a model which Combines Web Services for technology and network security certification to solve the Information Island of universities, and builds specific environment to verify this model by using J2EE and open-source service pack. |
