| SPMP8000, a SUNPLUS MM (a company in Taiwan) chip special for audio process with the ARM9+DSP structure, is mainly designed for PMP (personal media player) applications and sold in the PMP consumption market of the Asia-Pacific area. This chip has had a volume of shipment of 2000K. SUNNORTH is responsible for the platform and AP development for the IC, including audio/video play, video record, camera, voice record, picture, eBook, settings and other modules.This document analyzes the SPMP8000 PMP's functions in the aigo project in detail and gives an adequate testing plan for SPMP8000 PMP. It describes the testing plan, testing points, test cases, the execution state of testing, bug info and also the improvement measures on the project process that QA engineers suggested during the project process and their implementation.This document briefly introduces the test theory, in particular is focused on the features of embedded product testing, as well as further describes some key function modules of SPMP8000 PMP including audio and video, camera, recording. It elaborates on the overall testing plan of this project, and also the test strategy of each module, basic test methods, bug data and analysis on special bugs, and the execution state of testing. It also presents the improvement measures suggested by QA staff on the project management issues happened during this project process, especially on the definition, supervision and execution of project milestones.At present, SPMP8000 PMP described in this document has gone into mass production; its largest domestic brand cooperation partner is Aigo. And this product has got good feedback. Now Aigo has cooperated with SUNNORTH again to develop another product based on this platform. |
