With the development of wireless communication technology, Cell phone has become the indispensable communication tool. Personal information management is one of most functions in the cell phone. The backup and update of phonebook information is very important when the user wants to change the cell phone or loses the cell phone. PIM, the abbreviation of Personal Information Management, mainly includes the information of phonebook, schedule, todo, and so on. The PIM service that provided by CMCC is a good solution of personal information backup and update. This service is based on OMA SyncML open protocol, which is one kind of data communication that extends the XML language. It resolves the interconnection and intercommunication problem among all kinds of communication terminals. In the paper, the OMA SyncML protocol related concepts and principles is introduced firstly, then comparing the current technology of personal information back up and update, and bring forward the problems of current exits solutions. Then analyze the CMCC PIM service system framework and operation principles. Firstly, Introduce the CMCC PIM service. Then discuss CMCC PIM system framework and structure simply. At the last, introduce the data sync flow originated from mobile terminal. Cell phone is the most important client of CMCC PIM service. The PIM client's design and implementation in the mobile phone is the importance of this article. Firstly, the requirements of cell phone side services are analyzed. Then design the objects through OOP technology. After designed system tasks and system framework, the system's reliability and stability will be validated and tested. At the last, the system performance index will be given through some test results.
