| In the field of measurement and instrumentation, applications of meter Bus technology and uC/OS II operating system in automatic meter reading system. Hand-held meter device is a part of the system and through other means (such as RS232 USB) transfer the data management to center computer. Domestic manufacturers can not provide true hand-held meter reading system, which must make the data concentrator power on, and then support the holding reading, which increases the system installation, operation costs and operating risks. Therefore, the design of the device is very important significance.The system,LM3S5749 with Cotex-M3 core taken as the CPU,embedded uC/ OS II operating system as a platform, has achieved reading, storing and reviewing the meter data. Hardware of the system mainly consist of power,motherboard and communication. Power supply (system power, CPU power, M-Bus power), not been working. when needed, the part of the power supply opens, rational allocation of power greatly reduces the system power consumption; the board covers LM3S5749, LCD(MZT35C-1), Flash (AT45DB161D), real-time clock (DS1302)and so on.To easily control the system, the system provides a friendly human-computer interaction and achieves reading the meter data, store user information and the LCD display, besides setting time; communications are consists of serial communications and M-Bus communication. according to the function of the program,have differentiated program and achieved a good reusability and scalability.The paper introduces the design of portable hand-held meter reading system hardware and software. The tested results show the system has achieved the goals suchs as login screen, driving 220 meters,storing more than 20000 data,support mix bus such as gas meters,water meters,electric meter,and operating authority mangement,and can be more than 5 houres of continuous operation.this groundwork will greatly facilitate the following researches. |
