| The radiator is an important part of the engine's cooling system, it has strong influences on the power, economy and dependability of the engine. Among the radiator for vehicle, in auto industry, the corrugated radiator is widely used and has nice prospect, duing to its excellent performance of heat transfer and high compactness. As the corrugated radiator was investigated in this article, conducted the design and checking for matching up it with the engine. Performing wind tunnel test, proving the rationality of theoretical matching through the test. Ultimately, the author developed a parametric design system for corrugated automotive radiator.Based on matching up corrugated radiator with the engine, aiming of the biggest heat dissipating capacity that the engine can produce, the author designed corrugated radiator, obtained core body's size, parameters of cooling water tube and heat dissipation fin. Take Weichai WD615.50 and Mitsubishi 4G69S4M for example, the author proceeded the matching design and checking for corrugated radiator. Manufacturing radiator test-piece for wind tunnel test, based on parameters obtained by theoretical matching, in order to verify their practical heat dissipation capability. The results showed that:heat dissipation capability of radiator test-piece can perfectly meet heat dissipation requirement of the engine. It is proved that core body's parameters of corrugated radiator were reasonable obtained by theoretical matching.Based on parameters obtained by theoretical matching, using SolidWorks as parametric platform and Visual Basic 6.0 as development tool, parametric design for corrugated radiator was performed. Parametric design system for corrugated radiator was developed. According to input parameters and selections in user interfaces, this system can match up corrugated radiator with the engine, parametrize design for part drawing, assembly drawing, engineering drawing of radiator. |
