With the development of streaming media technology updates, especially the next generation H.264 videocompression technology has matured, a variety of network applications for streaming media more and morewidely. At the same time, streaming media, security and more attention. In view of the video data storage andtransmission of real-time and will easily and the huge amount of data characteristics, how to design an efficient,fast encryption algorithm has become a pressing research topic.Paper introduces the video coding and cryptography history, status and development, and video codingstandard H.264 has been studied, summarizes the characteristics of video encoding. Secondly, there's video ofthe encryption algorithm over the past decade, according to class to do a summary and performance analysis.On this basis, the selection of encryption algorithm made some improvements to design an encryption programthat encrypt function generator using chaotic sequence, choice of 4×4 luma block prediction modes, 16×16luminance block and chrominance prediction mode block prediction mode, motion vector difference andCAVLC entropy coding part of the process of encryption key information. All the algorithms in this paper areH.264 JM reference software model to be realized. The results from the encryption point of view, with bettersecurity and good operational performance data can be, and real-time playback.
