Spatial spectrum estimation is a new signal airspace processing technology. In recent years, scholars have begun countries seek solutions to practical spatial spectrum estimation problem. In this paper, the Y-uniformly spaced arrays, reduced rank matrix correction method combined with the idea of mutual coupling error in the Y-matrix parameters under estimation, the main work is as follows:1. Discusses the theoretical basis of spatial spectrum estimation, given the mathematical model of spatial spectrum estimation and estimation theory; and then analyzes the delay - sum, Capon, and multiple signal classification (MUSIC) three typical DOA estimation algorithm, simulation of the Capon method MUSIC method and the estimation error; in different signal to noise ratio, the number of different samples and different number of array elements of the MUSIC algorithm under the resolution, gives some interesting results.2. Study the mathematical model of mutual coupling and its associated error characteristics, simulation of the different mutual coupling coefficient errors on the DOA estimation. MUSIC introduced iterative correction method gives the reduced rank matrix correction method and the mutual coupling of two error correction methods, the simulation results comparison of the two mutual coupling performance of error correction methods are discussed on the uniform linear array of different signal to noise ratio MSUIC Iterative method and the method of reduced rank matrix.3. According to the topology of Y-array of features, the use of the mutual coupling matrix is symmetric and banded Toeplitz properties of the mutual coupling matrix of a detailed analysis not only consider the sub-array mutual coupling effects within, but also taking into account the inter-subarray Mutual coupling effects, obtained under the conditions of mutual coupling data model, application of reduced rank matrix correction method of thinking, come to the Y-matrix from the correction method reduced rank matrix. Simulation results show that: only the mutual coupling matrix correction can not be the ideal DOA space spectrum, only the array, the array can be adjusted between the same time the ideal spatial spectrum curve, but also proved that the algorithm has low computation and high accuracy calibration .
