High power semiconductor lasers (LD) have a very important role in medical treatment, communication, material processing and military equipment; its application has become a national race of research. In this paper, analysis working principle and performance of high power 980nm single-mode semiconductor, pump sources of erbium doped fiber amplifier(EDFA),and studied semiconductor laser digital involved the driver circuit design, temperature control circuit design and digital display control technologies and so on.The paper proposed digital current sampling amplification negative feedback constant-current architecture, accordingly designed low loss numerical control constant current circuit, raised driver source efficiency obviously; designed temperature control systems for integrated TEC and non-integrated TEC,use the fuzzy-PID algorithm to make lasers work in a stable temperature state, and realized digital interface control; analyzed output characteristics and load characteristics of 980nm single-mode semiconductor laser, and based on this, designed the laser protection circuit of static electricity and over-current.
