The Design And Implementation Of Mobile Voice Teaching System On Server Side

Nowadays, Multimedia teaching system widely used in educational fields plays an indispensable part in teaching. Unfortunately,the traditional system is restricted in a special voice classroom where every client terminal is a fixed PC. Considering its high price, complex wiring and inconvenience, it is not popular.At present,voice teaching system is becoming digitalization, networking, micromation and multifunction.Our paper raises a new voice teaching system.In this system we apply the ARM9 to students'terminal and WINCE to the operating system. What's more,we utilize windows XP as the operating system of the teachers'terminal, via wireless router connecting the wireless local area network, TCP,UDP to transporting data,FTP protocol to download file,G.726 technology to encode voice stream and H.264 technology to code video stream. Our system has many functions, such as network index, name checking,teaching,group discussion, the conversation between one teacher and one student,multimedia playing,the download and upload of files,hands up etc.Comparing with the traditional system, our system provides not only stronger functions,but also the wireless transportations and control.Therefore,It can be applied in all kinds of circumstances which does not be restricted in special voice classroom. Moreover,the lower cost will make it more popular.
