Supervision by News and Public Opinion, as a significant form of social supervision, can promote fair trial in court and it is greatly meaningful both in theory and practice to exert its function. Although improper public participation may bring about huge disturbance to trial and establishment of judicial authority, its inference and negative effects can be held in control. It is therefore not advisable to resist or even force out Supervision by News and Public Opinion due to its disturbance, the key is how to confine its negative influence and fully exert its positive role. It may looks like that inappropriate Supervision by News and Public Opinion disturbs fair trial; however, it is constraints of personnel, economic, polity, present setup of trial organization, individual quality of judges and the lack of a sound judicial culture the fundamental reasons of improper verdicts. In essence, supervision by news-public opinion and trials of court are consistent with one another, reasonable supervision can even facilitate fair trial.
