Empty Container Information Platform Design And Implementation

Container service as a forerunner and norm the conveyance method, which has get a very big development since the beginning of 20th century. Now it has become one of the most important conveyance methods in the international trade. But along with the development of conveying business, it also has some shortages. Empty box's adjusting is the most familiar and outstanding problem in the management of container service in steamship service company ,which has the direct influence on the economic efficiency of container service. Then the lack of information is a very important reason to make the container empty. The transport of these empty boxes brought a series of problem such as the pressure of great cost and the difficulty of adjusting and controlling etc for each shipping company.In this thesis, we want to built up one information platform for container service to work out the adjustment of empty boxes.This thesis introduced the background of system development and present condition of the information platform system for container service at home and abroad, and made detailed analysis to the customer's need, elaborated this system function that need to be carried out, design way of thinking and means of carrying out.we use ASP+ACCESS+IIS technique combination which is in general use to develop this system, according to the basic speculation of development structure, introduced need analysis, system analysis, system structure designs, database designs and program designs.The result of this thesis was to build up one information platform system for container service using the network database technique , developed and designed on-line information platform for empty boxes of container.
