USB Key Technology In Digital Library Research And Application Of Identity Authentication

The Digital Library uses contemporary information technology to collect, sort and store the digital information resources. And it provides services to all the connecting network users. Because the Digital Library is in the environment of network, it also faces the safety problem. For solving the information safety problem, we must solve the problem of on-line identity attestation firstly. The development of the Digital Library promotes the development of related technologies. Such as image processing technology,network technology,database technology and multimedia technology. But the identity attestation of the Digital Library still stays around the stage with the password attestation.Although the password attestation is simple, convenience and easy operation, but its safety is bad. It can't resist the password guessing and repeated attack. Moreover, people may be often forget the password or transfer it to others or it robed by others, all these will injure the benefits of customer and the Digital Library.Aim at the above-mentioned problem; we put forward the identity attestation based on the USB Key. The USB Key is a new generation identity attestation product that combines the modern password technique, the intelligence card technique and the USB technique. It can be used to saving the customer's digital certificate and private key, It can also realization of signature inside card,identity attestation and the management of airtight key. Compared with the traditional intelligence card, USB Key has many advantages, Such as the sooner of data delivering,the higher strength of safety,and the more convenience of using.Firstly, the paper introduces the concepts of the Digital Library and Electronic Commerce, and development trend of Digital Library and the relationship of the two. Then, discuss the network information safety related technologies, such as Encryption technology, Digital Signature technology, Verification technology. At the meantime, we simply introduced the Public Key Infrastructure. In addition, we introduced some broadly used arithmetic in the world, analyzed the traits of the arithmetic, and combined the differences between symmetrical arithmetic and asymmetric algorithm; they will be implicated in this system. At the end, aim at the problem of the current identity attestation system, we put forward the project of identity attestation based on the USB Key. This system can realize the identity verification of customer, the safety transformation of information and the management of customers'right. The text introduced the principle and workflow of the system, and descript the realization process of the system from three part of the Digital Library identity attestation system. Compared with the traditional password attestation, the attestation of USB Key has the higher safety and credibility, and it is easy to be extended for more functions.
