Research And Application Of Ontology-Based Prescription Reasoning Model

Chinese traditional medicine prescriptions were conserved in the form of a unified description. It caused difficulties in sharing of information. In order to achieve resource sharing, reuse and disease diagnosis, this research construct a knowledge system to describe the prescription ontology in OWL language. Based on the knowledge system, paper propose a prescription reasoning model. The main aspects of this paper are as follows:First,thesis analysis the methodology and application of ontology, include the definition, classification, description language and the using areas.Second,Organizing the knowledge of Chinese medical prescriptions by Ontology.Constructing the Prescription Ontology and define the relations and axioms of the classes in Protégé. It provide a new approach to conserve Chinese traditional medicine prescriptions.Last,reasoning rules are programmed in SWRL, and Jess is used as Reasoning engine in the prescription reasoning model. Certainty Factor theory is used to calculate the matching of condition and syndrome. All these achieve the disease diagnosis.The significance of this research work are as follows: firstly, Ontology theory is applied to describe prescription knowledge. It helps to improve the reusability, reliability and knowledge acquisition capabilities. Secondly, combining of SWRL and Jess, provide reference for the development of Chinese medicine resource.
