Fires not only posed a threat on people's lives and property, but also caused harm to the firefighters'physical security who are taking on the implementation of the recovery operation. The wireless location on firefighters who enter complex building environment would allow them to make sound judgments when facing strange building layout, therefore saved valuable time for rescuing and protecting themselves. This paper discussed the location displaying device and its realization, which was based on DaVinci dual-core platforms and ZigBee wireless positioning technology.Firstly This paper introduced the application solutions for indoor environment based on wireless sensor network positioning technology and also the significance and research content of using ZigBee wireless location technology. Then carried out the overall design of positioning system from functional requirements aspect, and divided the system into three parts based on functional differences, which are the communication subsystem, the positioning algorithm codec, the displaying function of location display device .In the first part we realized register configuration of SPI interface on DaVinci platform, write the SPI device driver under MontaVista Linux, and defined the data format of communication between DaVinci and ZigBee system . For the second part we firstly write the location algorithm based on xDAIS standards, which will be integrated into algorithms server running on the DSP, then realized the ARM-side program which using codec engine to call and execute the algorithm in codec server. Finally we write the map displaying program based on QGraphicsView framework. The program would use building plans as a background, and reference data would be sent to the location algorithm to process in its backend, then in the front would be the direct displaying and updating of reference node and location node.Finally, the positioning displaying device was tested, and the test results show that the full function was realized according to initial design. Also, we summarized the implementation process of displaying device for positioning and brought out the improvements on platform and algorithm.
