Design And Implementation Of Maintenance Information System Based On PDA

For a long time, the information of equipment maintenance and operation has been recorded manually, so the staff has to enter each data obtained manually into the computer and proofread it. When the information is needed by the higher authorities, a lot of labor and time should be devoted to the collection, organization and analysis of the information. It is obvious that the traditional manual recording of data demands a large amount of work, leading to the high labor intensity, low working efficiency, poor data accuracy, and the potential errors and omissions of data. Moreover, some divisions pay little attention to the record and the maintenance of service information, which will seriously mislead the superiors over the true information of equipments.In view of the above, a convenient and perfect system of maintenance information collection is proposed based on PDA, on the basis of the analysis of internal and external data collection. Using PDA as a terminal device, the system exploits the development platform of Visual Studio 2005 as well as C# language with the support of Windows CE, and achieves the synchronization of data collector with the server by the Merge Replication technology of the SQL Mobile database. In the process of system design and implementation, I have studied the related technology of mobile smart devices, have read a lot about the literature on the mobile application at home and abroad, and make a deep analysis of the overall structure, functional modules, workflow, and related technologies of the acquisition system.The system has a rational structure, simplicity of operation, and a complete function. It can assist the staff in dada collection effectively, simplify the procedures, and reduce the chance of data errors so as to improve the efficiency of staff, relieve the intensity of the work, and bring about a paperless office. Staff can bring PDA to the site for the data collection, and enter the results directly to PDA. When the collection is completed, the data in PDA is uploaded to the system server for the viewing and analysis of officers at all levels.
