| China Youth Journalists Association (CYJA) is founded in Shanghai on November 8, 1937. CYJA is focusing on self-education among workers in the News report field as well as advocating the anti-Japanese war. In April, 1941, the general bureau of China Youth Journalists Association (CYJA) is closed by the Kuomintang government. In 1987, the China Youth Journalists Association (CYJA) has been confirmed as the predecessor of China Journalists Association, after being discussed and argued in public hearings held by experts of News field, leading by Mr. Fang Hanqi. In 2000, the State Council of China has made November 8, on which day CYJA was founded,"Journalist's Day".China Youth Journalists Association (CYJA) existed for more than three years. During its existence, CYJA made great contribution to the development of news history in China, leaving a glorious song to the anti-Japanese war of Chinese people. Ding Ganlin and Xu Peiting listed the founding of China Youth Journalists Association (CYJA) as the fourth biggest events in their book, Top 10 Events of Chinese News Field in the Twentieth Century. They commented that CYJA did a lot of work in achieving a united team of Chinese journalist to fight the anti-Japanese war.In the essay, study of China Youth Journalists Association (CYJA) has been carried out through the following aspects: the developing process of CYJA, the major advocating activities of CYJA, historical review of CYJA and so on. First of all, this essay is aiming at the enrichment and perfection of the current CYJA study. Secondly, it is also aiming at restoring the original CYJA and decreasing the unknown parts in specific historical conditions during the existence of CYJA, through the effort of the author. Last but not least, this study also is expected to enrich the document of the Chinese news history. |
