The function of optical transceiver test system used in Oclaro is restricted by the structure of whole automation software that makes the efficiency of test process lower,for instance,the software can't recognize new test devices,and the test procedure can't be changed or called flexibly,the test report is difficult to be read and analyzed. In order to keep up with the development of optical transceiver and meet the requirements of customizing,it's obliged to optimize the structure of the optical transceiver test system.This paper introduced the architecture of the optical transceiver test system,the theory of automation test framework and embedded script language. The improvement directions of correlated structure are pointed out. Furthermore,the feasibility of wrapping and reusing the functions of original test system are researched based on object oriented design theory,which assist the design and implementation of embedding LUA script into C++ program. The actual methods of applying LUA script in several important modules of the test system are researched based on the automation test framework. In conclusion,the effect between old and new structure and workflow are compared. The new test system based on LUA script optimized the structure of optical test system by the flexibility of LUA,based on the advanced theory of automation test framework. With lower cost of time and money,it greatly improves the developing process of optical transceiver test procedure,the convenience to expend and maintain the test system modules,which also does help to the optimization of the automation test.The research helps to the monitoring and improvement of optical transceivers'quality and production. It also provides the environment of mastering and applying the optical transceiver automation test system on the way of innovation.
