| Large display screen was continuously pursued by human after display technology was created. But as present technology is concerned, we can not expand screen as large as we like. So we create mulit-screen wall to meet the needs of large size screen.There are many different multi-screen solutions, from previous CRT screen wall to current popular DLP, PDP, LED screen wall. During recent years. LCD technology has become more sophisticated. LCD screen wall was also emerging in the market. Samsung Electronics designed DID (Digital Information Display) to meet the demand of the market.The topic of this thesis of LCD multi-screen development project which was introduced by Shanghai Linbell Electronic Techonologies Co.,Ltd. This project was based on Samsung industry-specific ultra narrow LCD panel and Mstar's MST6M16JS image processing chip. I designed firmware of image processing chip and PC-control software in accordance with the requirements of users. The firmware is able to complete the process of image splitting and zooming, ID setup, OSD menu display, serial port command receiving and execution. PC-control software should give user a good user interface and allow user to control the multi-screen wall using mouse drag and click. Two sets of software coordinate with each other to control the whole multi-screen wall system. |
