CNC machining is one of the important part of the CAD/CAM technology. In modernmanufacturing, the complexity of processing parts is increasing and CNC technologycontinuously improve, the CNC program code also become more complex. So thenecessity of verifing the correctness is increasingly high. Graphic simulation technology inCNC machining is a way to simulate the processing of real CNC machining use computergraphic output. It's one of the effective tools to verify the correctness of the CNC program.The achievement and significance of the research is that the simulation system not only toverify the correctness of the CNC program to improve manufacture efficiency, but also canbe used for teaching and training, reducing the cost of learning CNC machining technology.With the3D graphic simulation system, economical embedded CNC systems can enhancethe function and extend purposes, it can effectively improve the competitiveness of theproducts on the market with high economic value.Based on the existing aehievements,some research on3D graphics simulation inembedded systems technology. All the reseach and achievement sums up as follows:(1) On the basis of existing research results, according to the functional requirementsof the embedded NC graphic simulation system design, analysis and select ARM basedsolution as hardware plantform, WinCE6.0embedded operating system and OpenGL ES..(2) Study and research on existing computer graphics of3D geometric modelingtechnology, according to the features of embedded systems, design a graphic simulationmethod for two common CNC machining—turning and milling.(3) Designed a simulation module workflow and achieve functions, then use it on XXeconomic CNC, through the practical application tests, Verify the feasibility of the design.
