| This thesis intends to explore the relations between American fashion museums and companies. The author of this thesis first analyzes and classifies the concepts and characteristics of American fashion museums, then summarizes the development history and features of American fashion museums, and discusses the motivations, models, and effects of the cooperation between the museums and companies. Base on the research above, the paper attempted to put forward suggestions for the development of Chinese fashion museums of China.The thesis probes into the subject by literary review, field visit and case study. In the part of American fashion museums, the author collects and translates many documents to better analyze the features; in the part of Chinese fashion museums, the author gathers reference materials from different specialized journals, and visited the fashion museums and fashion exhibitions in Beijing and Shanghai to get first-hand valuable information. |
