Currently, our country is at a historic period of developing a higher level of wealthy socialty, and the service of meteorology is becoming more and more important during this global economic increase. Multiple social factor such as disaster prevention, climate change responding, economic growth, rural development, ecological civilization expansion, the increasing of public quality of life and the emergency reaction for public events provid new challenge for this industry. Meanwhile, the highly regard from our government leaders and the public socialty, the development of the meteorology industry, and the IT, computing, media, communication network industry development have brought unprecedented opportunities.The most prominent problem exist in meteorology industry is scatter storage of service information. The service information stored in each of meteorology operation department, lack of centralize storage control. The decision maker, administrator and the meteorology service provider may not able to get the information needed in time, which might lead to tardiness service in decision and affect the benefit of the public meteorology service. The second problem is lack of naming regulations. Each meteorology service department had set up their own meteorology service systerm, based on their independent requirment. This may satisfy the needs of their own department, however without and naming regulations, the database each department provides will bring difficult to the sharing and applying the data between each of the department.The project of Hunan Public meteorology service product sharing database, which base on public meteorology service, classify all 130 public meteorology product which made by Hunan meteorology bureau. It set a common classifying rules of the public meterolog service, and played an important part in setting the service classifying rules by the National meteorology bureau. Ruled by this rule, Hunan public meteorology service database sharing systerm had invented. The systerm include seven main section: Service product upload, product examine and approve, product inquiry and calculation, product download, setup the systerm data, database back-up and recovery, system manual, providing the staff of Hunan Meteorology bureau a fast track to search and download the meteorology service product. Make it more satisfying the public meteorology service need.The project is already applied to China Wealth Network, Hunan Meteorology Network, Hunan public meteorology service platform. It is becoming an important channel for staff of Hunan meteorology Bureau to gather pulic meteorology service product, providing a first hand meteorology information in public meteorology service and disaster prevention and mitigation, and accelerating the development of public meteorology in our province.
