With the development of information technology, two-dimensional graphical interface can no longer meet the requirements of the people. People want three-dimensional, realistic, interactive dynamic information space. Therefore, virtual reality technology came out. With virtual reality technology, people see three-dimensional world. The technology is widely used in military, industrial, and education. At the same time, virtual-training as a new need is liked by the users gradually.As CNG filling stations has highly dangerous, workers must go through safety training before they go to work. With the equipment become more and more large-scale, continuous and automatic control-level become higher and higher, the operational capacity of the operators also become higher. At present, the form of CNG safety training is dull, and it can not meet the needs of enterprises and bring a great security risk for future work.In this thesis, combined three-dimensional Internet-based X3D virtual reality technology and safety training of CNG filling stations and completed the CNG simulation training systems. It is for overcome the shortcomings of traditional training, and it can give the staff pre-job theory training and operational training effectively. It has become a good platform for employees to use theoretical knowledge into practice. The project also provides a platform for employees with self-knowledge test and provides a guarantee for the company to carry out testing activities.This article describes the virtual reality technology and virtual training, it analysis the meaning of using Internet-based X3D virtual reality into CNG simulation training system. It analysis the components of CNG filling stations, devices, the process principle based on CNG filling stations in Nan Chong. After the introduction of VRML, which is the sign of the Web3D technology, it describes the key used simulation technology in the project-X3D. Then after model combinations, it completed the production of the virtual scene. Then set the action of scene to achieve interact with the virtual scene and users. By the way, it describes the way of enhanced interaction to improve the fidelity of the virtual scene.This research achieved the three-dimensional solid modeling of the CNG filling stations, the operation simulation and process simulation. CNG simulation training system has played a good result in the actual training. It helped to achieve information and digital in security training and digital for the employee, and provided technical support for the company to established professional training bases.
