Viscosity, density, surface tension and conductivity are significant thermophysical parameters of molten alloys. The accurate measurement and analysis of the thermal parameters have a very important influence on making and controlling ingredients of the metallurgical process. Therefore, it is vital practical significance to develop the integration system for fast measuring thermophysical parameters of molten alloys including viscosity, density, surface tension and conductivity, which can promote technological progress of the metallurgical and casting industry.In this paper, the research situation of testing technology of viscosity, density, surface tension and conductivity at home and abroad is reviewed, and the testing principle of the integration measurement and the mechanism structure of the apparatus are discussed. The software design and implementation method of integration system for measuring thermophysical parameters of the molten alloys is also expatiated.Taking fully account of accuracy and reliability of test system, IPC is used to the processing core. According to the principles of measuring the thermophysical parameters, I/O interface card PC-6408 is used to control the operation of the corresponding detection probe. The data acquisition card PC-6319D is adopted to control the operation of the corresponding detection probe, the signal acquisition of the sensors, automatical analog-digital conversion and data processing. Based on the visual development tools Delphi 7.0, the software system was designed. According to the design method of availability and modularization, the system software is designed to many modules, such as density and surface tension synchronous measurement module, the viscosity measurement module, the conductivity measurement module, the temperature control module and the function plate rotating control module. Also, the modules can relize the functions of automatic data acquisition, storage, calculation, analysis, results display and curves generation. In order to the facilitate record and find the measurement data, the database module was specially developed.Under the condictons of laboratory, the thermophysical parameters of molten aluminum alloys such as surface tension, density, viscosity and conductivity were tested. The results show that the system has the merits of stable movement and good man-machine interface. So it can satisfy the test accuracy and test requirements.
