Systemic software reuse is an effectual approach to solving software crisis and to realizing industrial production manner of software industry. Having been developing for close to 50 years, software reuse technology has already advanced from research stage to application stage. The appearance of Domain Engineering has changed the mode of traditional software development, while domain-oriented software development is becoming more and more popular. Domain Engineer method is a powerful tool to realize large granularity software reuse, can effectively reduce software development cost, shorten software development time and improve software quality. In this paper, based on the essence of analysis software crisis, we analyzed and introduced the concept, main ideal, classification, characteristic, research status, relational technology and existing problems of Software reuse technology. Meanwhile, we analyze and introduce the concept, method of Domain engineering and the relation between Domain engineering and Application engineering.Feature model is key point of domain engineering. In this paper, we brought forward a feature-oriented modeling solution for domain engineering, amply explained the work of domain analysis, domain design and domain realization, and, analyze the variability mechanism.Reusable components are manufactured out through the method of domain engineering, they can reflect essential requirement clearly, so they have high reusability. We used the solution to build use cases model, feature model, design model for Portal of Experiment and Teaching Department according to domain engineering method, and realized the component of this domain.
