In modern industry, fine aluminum powder is needed in high quality and large quantity. To meet the requirement, we equip the aluminum powder line with advanced equipment, and improve control methods to ensure the control precision and production efficiency. Therefore, it is meaningful and valuable to make research on advanced control theory of aluminum powder manufacture.This paper analyzes the atomization and classification process of aluminum powder to give control requirements. It lists the functions which the control system should implement, such as start & stop, parameter control, alarming and so on. In the system, gas pressure and pipe airflow are controlled by advanced control theory. Gas pressure of system is adjusted by sub-control strategy. According to different pressure, different valves would be adjusted to keep the pressure within rating. Mutual interference between the coupling pipes make the pipe airflow can't be stable in classification. That problem affects the accuracy of aluminum powder grade. The new control algorithm designed in the paper takes advantages of excellent steady-state characteristics of PID control, combined with excellent dynamic characteristics of fuzzy control, and also adds coordinated control into the system. It reduces the coupling loop interference, and overcomes the disadvantages of traditional PID control algorithm, such as large overshoot, long setting time. Verified by simulation, the new control algorithm responds quickly, has small overshoot and its steady-state error is good. The new control algorithm applications get a nice effect.Based on the control strategies above, advanced control system of aluminum powder manufacture consists of PLC, IPC and some support software. All the materials implement the functions designed of the system. The system works safely, stably and efficiently, and has high control accuracy. Advanced control system of aluminum powder manufacture meets demands of enterprises to produce high-precision aluminum in large quantities. It would improve economic efficiency for enterprises.
