With the rapid development of the urbanization, the population of urban commuters is growing rapidly. As a consequence, the number of public transport lines and public buses is increasing at a high speed. The public transport system is getting much huger and more complicated and the traffic is becoming more crowded, which consequently lead to frequent traffic accidents and the deterioration of traffic environment. Therefore, the research on the intelligent public transport administration information system is of great importance in solving the urban transport problems and improving the efficiency of the utilization of the transport resources.In this thesis, the GPRS is introduced as the wireless network transmission scheme. By applying such high technologies as GPRS, GPS, GIS and computer control technology to the public transport system and by means of the C language, SQL Server database, we design and effect the intelligent public transport administration information system. The main ideas are as follows:1.To briefly introduce the working theory of GPRS wireless communication system and GPS, and to further analyze the protocols involved in the wireless network communication.2.To analyze the feasibility of the intelligent public transport administration information system in terms of its economy, technology, scheme, purposes and administration, and to further analyze the demand of the intelligent system in terms of customers'demand, business administration demand and functional demand.3.To design the topological structure of the intelligent public transport administration information system, and to provide the key functional modules of the system, meanwhile, to finally decide on the scheme for the wireless network system, to focus on the wireless network communication and the realization of the key functions of the system, and to further prove that the intelligent public transport administration information system has basically met the design requirements by displaying its achievements.4.To further indicate that the intelligent public transport administration information system described in this thesis has reached the expected goals by trial operation and test.
