As the market competition become more and more fierce and the quickly change of customer need, and information technology continues to evolve, the relationship between the enterprises and the information technology has became more close. The traditional way to develop and integrate IT system has a poor performance on the maintenance and upgrade for the system. But, SOA is service-oriented and focus on the change of the need of customers, and for the purpose of developing and integrating the IT system which is loosely coupled and reusable and autonomy etc. Therefore, this paper tries to establish an inventory management system for the SOA, and in the background of a company which manufactures and sales professional alcohol breathe testing equipment, has a high practical significance. In this paper, mainly did the following job on the basis of SOA and the theory of inventory management: First, elaborating the application areas of SOA and the meaning of using it, and studying of the inventory management problems and situation of the company associated with this paper, besides, analyzing the technology evolution path of SOA-oriented for developing and integrating and the theoretical system of SOA, including the core principles, services, key technologies of SOA and highlighting the area of Web Service. Second, analyzing the needs of the inventory management and researching the business processes, and then doing service design and analysis for the business processes, then, designing inventory management system overall structure on the basis of SOA reference architecture, besides, doing a brief introduction of the technology that going to be used in this paper. Third, doing a detailed design analysis to the sub-function module of the inventory management system, including a description of each module and the specific design steps and timing sequence diagram. Fourth, finishing system development, debugging, and deployment and testing, The realization of the each layer of the system's architecture including application layer, presentation layer, service layer, and every layer was applied a variety of advanced concepts and technologies, for example, using AOP and many design models and advanced developing tools to design database table, or realize the cache, or implement the business service etc.
