| Due to the high-speed development of IP data services,the local transmission network is aiming to be large-capacity, multi-service,scalable and open platform for highly reliable local transport. To fix the issues which exist in traditional optieal network,Automatic Switched Optieal Network (ASON) is introduced as a control plane emerged. IP-core automatic technology will be used in the optical layer to build intelligent optical network and finally to provides network operators with a flexible and effective operation of optical network. ASON has been progressively business all around the world and will be the trend of optical network technology in the future.The sample local telecommunieations network which carries voice and data transmission services was originally built for voice service. It gradually comes out that the limitations in the case of the rapid development of data services. So at the beginning of this paper, it will analyse the situation of the network and its technical shorteomings. Secondly, the paper estimates the demand for transmission volume in the future. Then different new technologies such as ASON WDM and PRP is introduced, the paper presents different solutions with these technologies to the existing network. With analyzing the advantage and disadvantage of the solutions,the paper provides a proposal based on ASON to reform the existing network. At last, a simulated test environment is setup and the proposal passed the test to verify the feasibility, testing data is provided as well. |
