Research And Design On Novel Reconfigurable Antenna

With the rapid development of wireless communication technology in now days,thereconfigurable antenna will play a significant role in the development of modern communicationsystem.The reconfigurable antennas has a great advantage that they can dynamically adjust theircharacteristics according to the operating environment,and the research on reconfigurable antennahas become one of the hot spot in antenna field nowadays.However,this work is still at developingstage,and many problems need to be resolved.In this thesis,several novel reconfigurable antennas are presented.The reconfigurablecharacterizes of the antennas are achieved by introduced some PIN switches.The main researchwork are presented as follows.(1) Two kinds of frequency reconfigurable antenna are presented.The first one is a slotantenna,whose resonant frequency can shifted between 1.345GHz and 1.9GHz.The second one is aU slot microstrip patch antenna,which can operate at different frequencies with five cases.(2) A pattern reconfigurable antenna is presented.The antenna is a microstrip patch antennawhich can achieved pattern reconfiguration. The main beam of the antenna switches between twodirections.By adding two more PIN switches,The antenna also can operate at two frequencies.(3) A microstrip patch circular polarization reconfigurable antenna is studied.It can switchbetween right-hand circular polarization (RHCP) and left-hand circular polarization (LHCP).
