| This thesis presents the background and R&D of WEB-CMS which is a typical management information system. The R&D includes the database design and implementation of frondend web application. This conference management system is a web-based third-party system which is very new and useful. The system is developed with a typical B/S three-tire structure supports IE6.0+ browsers and based on Tomcat as its web server and SQL Server 2000 as its database server. The data interacts beween browsers and datababase is implemented by the web server. The system is accessable from anywhere without any need to install any specific softwares which is quite convenient. This thesis discusses in details of the design and algorithms of paper management, submission, distribution, refereeing and other important modules. Flow charts, input-output data flows and interfaces are discussed for each module. We describe the how process from system analysis, database design, implementation of each module, testing and conclusion according to design methods of software engineering. This system is developed in JSP+SQL and this system is very helpful to speed up the information sharing and paper refereeing. This system is used to provide conference management services for conferences organizers and participants. This system implements the whole process fro the user register, conference information publish, paper submission and referee, security control and payment. The paper submission and referee is the key part of this system which handles the paper files uploadings and allocating to referee, in this part, a reasonable paper referee mothod must be implemented as paper and reviewers classification in order to allocate the papers to referee of the same field. After reviewers review and score the paper, the system gives a review result and accepts successful papers at a ratio decided by the organizers. And at last, the system feedback review results to authors and the organizers. This system gives great convenience and efficiency for conference organizers and participants. |
