With the development of machinery manufacturing,surface coating technology plays an important role in product.Development of a new kind of spraying machine will be of great importance in heavy industry on account of the poor efficiency and low quality by manual operation,also the high price and complex control laws of the spraying robot makes its application limited.The paper analysed the requirements for the specific workpiece,a spraying equipment based on the motion control technology is proposed.On this basis,the whole spraying equipment about mechanical structure,hardware and software is finished.Motion controller is used as control core of the equipment which has three linear feed axis and one following-up rotation axis.When the design finished,spraying and thickness measuring test is carried out on three different kinds of test wordpiece and the experimental results shows that the spraying equipment can satisfy kinds of workpiece and it is feasible.The reaseach mainly includes the following aspects:1.According to the project requirements and characteristics of the workpiece and technical index,three kinds of control scheme is proposed of which merit and demerit be compared.Finally the9030Motion controller is used as control core.2.The requiment for the hardware and software is analysed and the mechanical structure,the control system,the detect and the data collecting system is designed.Design ideas and hardware selectiong principle is treated in detail.3.According to the requirements in the technical scheme for the control software of the upper computer,the software system,which include parts of spraying control,status display,parameter setting,distance monitoring,data collecting and NURBS interpolate is exploited by VC++6.0.These parts either independence or interconnect.4.Experimental system is build,aftet experiment the accuracy of the motion control system can achieved is analysed and thickness measuring work is carried out.From the economy,stable and reliable point of view,this spraying machine proposed in this paper specific to huge and non-mass-produced workpiece,by which labors strength is reduced and spraying efficiency and quality is improved.
