As all know, the rapid rise of learning science and the rapid development of information technology promote education reform and new learning styles, for example, non-liner learning. Non-linear learning helps learners to develop divergent thinking and innovation capability. It has also been of concern and attention of researchers.The meanings of non-liner learning contain non-systematic learning content, fragments of study time, drag-style knowledge transfer, initiative knowledge construction. The characteristics are open learning environment, stochastic learning process, learning behavior of mutation and unpredictable nature of learning outcomes. Study of non-liner learning effectiveness is not yet widely. This study is to analyze the various elements of the nonlinear process and the relationship between them and the effectiveness of non-linear learning. This helps learners to solve practical difficulties in non-linear learning process and fully appreciate the advantage of non-linear learning. This can also provide effective guidance strategy for teachers.In this study, we summarized the status of non-linear learning study based on the literatures. Secondly, we analyze various factors in non-liner learning process. Thirdly, we design the non-liner learning experiment and selected thirty undergraduate or graduate students from department of Information Technology in Central China Normal University to participate this experiment. Fourthly, we track the entre experiment process and use various methods to collect experiment data. Finally, we analyze data through scientific method and obtain experiment results.We believe that: the individual characteristics of learners have a catalytic role in non-linear learning effectiveness; Learning content is the foundation of learning; Learning space provided a guarantee for the smooth conduct of learning activities and achieving of learning goals; Interactive learning strategy plays a key role in the effectiveness of non-linear learning; Learning evaluation is a means to further improve the effectiveness of learning. Research results not only provide some reference for the actual teaching and learning, but also for further research about post-foundation.
