Soap-based The Sgsn Configuration Management Module Design And Realization

The current mainstream mobile communication standard WCDMA is comprised of the core network, radio access network. WCDMA provides high quality voice, data and multimedia services, due to the increase of device number and complexity, and lots of new services have be launched, this led to the mobile network load are constantly increasing, and make the work in the management and maintenance of the network is more and more big, the price is higher and higher.To be able to monitor real-time mobile network movement situation, and improve the efficiency of network maintenance, lower operating costs, improve the service quality and operators of core competitiveness, mobile operators put forward higher request to network management system.Mobile communication network management system features include: configuration management, fault management, accounting management, performance management and security management. And configuration management responsible for configuration and management all network elements by the forms of graphics, text and other, showing the device working status, also include:creating, deleting, querying, modifying, synchronizing and downloading configuration data.As the important element in packet domain of WCDMA core network, SGSN is responsible for forwarding packet data, and maintaining mobility and security-related information with mobile terminal. SGSN combine the modern digital switching platform with General Packet Radio Service IP control and conversion. In recent years, because of open, cross-platform, loosely coupled, distribution calculation and other advantages, XML-based SOAP technology has made a great success not only in enterprise application integration, but also provides new solutions for telecom network management.This paper, based on the mobile network management technology development direction, introduced the SOAP into the configuration management of SGSN. Described the management and operation of SGSN resources by XML, established the SGSN configuration management model based SOAP, designed and implemented a SOAP-based configuration management module of SGSN. This module inherits the advantages of SOAP, provide the efficient, scalable, centralized management to SGSN, and present a new idea for unified network management.
