3kW Completely-integrated EMI Filter Based On Flexible Multi-layer Foil

With continuously increasing of the work frequency of the power semiconductor devices, electronic equipments produce and accept more and more EMI noises. For conducted interference, the use of EMI filter is one of the most effective methods. The completely-integrated EMI filter based on the flexible multi-layer (FML) strip has better filter performance and smaller size than the traditional filter EMI in the low power fields. To enlarge the application fields of the completely-integrated EMI filter based on the FML strip, this paper focused on the study of 3kW completely-integrated EMI filter based on the FML strip.To apply the completely-integrated EMI filter in the medium and large power fields, the paper studied the detailed design process in depth, given the calculation methods of the related parameters and proposed the authentication and adjustment methods for the preliminary design results.In order to study the effect factors of the completely-integrated EMI filter, the high-frequency (HF) lumped model of it should be build. The paper described the process of HF modeling of it in depth and analyzed the effect factors of its HF filtering characteristics.Finally, the article gave the design results and the HF lumped modeling results of the 3kW completely-integrated EMI filter and the experimental test results of its application in the front of 3kW UPS. Experimental results show that the completely-integrated EMI filter has better filter performance and smaller size than the conventional discrete EMI filter in the medium and high power fields, the proposed design method and the HF lumped models are effective and feasible.
