Ericsson HLR Function Realization Research Based TD-SCDMA Evolution

With the completion of the restructuring of domestic telecommunication industry,3 licenses of 3G were issued to three major domestic carriers by MIIT in January 2009. That represents the compitition of 36 service has come to a new stage. China mobile get the operational qualification of TD-SCDMA mode. TD-SCDMA is the only state-owned 3G network mode. Pushing forward by the integration of thriving and diversified 3G business, a core network with unified architecture for China mobile is needed. HLR is the database center of the clients of China mobile. With the development of 3G business, the demand for merging of TD and 2G users and unity of authentication was imminent.This article concisely stated the the key technology of TD-SCDMA network in user data management, control of user access, and new 3G feature services such as multimedia ring tones and video frequency telephone added on the bases of the traditional voice and data services. It is also researched in this article that how to implement the principles and methods of the TD-SCDMA network converged with 2G in the evolution of Ericsson HLR.
