Yunnan Shilin The Dictation File Resource Database Construction Research

Yunnan province has many minority nationalities who created so many national cultures in the long process of social development. National cultures carry out an important task of passing on all the culture and knowledge which were created and accumulated to future generations. It is these cultures which ensure human's survival and continuation. The traditional cultures of minority nationalities are studied and acquired basically in the activities of the family and social groups.However, minority nationalities cultures once fallen, and the oral tradition is disappearing in an alarming rate with the impact of social development and globalization. As the carrier of culture, archives have responsibility to record and preserve these precious cultural heritage.Oral archives of Shilin county include Shilin's history, dance, handicraft, religion, custom, diet and so on, which are mostly inherited and passed from the previous generation to the next generation in the ways of words and deeds, which are recorded by oral archives.With the rapid development of network and information technology, Construction of oral archives database of Shilin county in a way of digitization and cyberization have important theoretical value and practical significance for the cause of minority nationalities' oral archives and the protection and development of national culture in Yunnan.In view of this, this paper discusses the design and implementation of the minority nationalities oral archives database of Shilin county in Yunnan province according to the six steps of database design, using the B/S three-tier architecture and ASP dynamic web development technologies, SQL Sever2005database technology.
