The Group-buy website is a kind of new e-commerce website which originated in the United States, and it has been spread around the world in a short period of one year.Groupon is the most representative Group-buy website in the United States,having over a hundred million registered users around the world.Chinese Group-buy websites developed rapidly from 2010,and thousands of copyist of Groupon appeared,which causes the industry competition to be more intense.At present Group-buy websites has become a mainstream online shopping,causes a society to pay close attention to,and has changed the way of living.So it is of great significance that researching on Group-buy websites.On the basis of introduction of Group-buy websites development history, this paper combines the current situation of Chinese Group-buy websites,and analyses the most representative Group-buy websites on the business mode of lashou.com, dianping.com, nuomi.com, ju.taobao.com and tuan.qq.com from production mix, profit pattern, marketing channel, trading models, competition and cooperation, the performance of the equity markets etc.This paper also benefits from the operation strategy and business model development of Groupon to reflect these five Chinese Group-buy websites' problem.This paper believes that how to attracts and sticks users is the basis for Group-buy websites.The creation of production mix,Accurate market orientation and innovative profit model are the key to success for Group-buy websites.The study also found that Chinese Group-buy websites face problems such as products and services homogeneity,customer loss,low cusomer changed rate,unitary profit pattern.To solve these problems,this paper puts forward relevant proposals:differentiation suitable for itself,improving the service,extending marketing channel,innovative profit model and a new development model,as well as the indicating developing tendency for the Group-buy websites.This paper aims at reflecting real situations and emphasizing the practical significance of the research as well as a complementarity for the past studies.At the same time,and sincerely hope to serve as a reference for Chinese Group-buy websites.
