Research On SME Financing

A common barrier to the growth of Chinese small andmedium enterprises is financing. Both internal problems and externalobstacles attribute to the predicament. This essay analyzes thecharacteristics of Chinese small and medium enterprises and theirfinancing difficulties, learns from the experience of their counterpartsin developed countries and regions such as America, Japan andSingapore and makes a theoretical exploration on new financingchannels for small and medium businesses.This essay combines the author's personal working experienceand explains the case of the first issue of"ZhangjiangHigh-technology Small and Medium Enterprise"collective bond in2011. The ultimate goal is to make the best use of different financingchannels and design a suitable packaged solution to meet the capitalneeds of Chinese small and medium enterprises. I hope that my earnestefforts will inspire great minds to completely solve the problem.This thesis is divided into 5 chapters. The first chapterintroduces the basic situation of SMEs in China and mainfeatures. The second chapter focuses on the analysis of SMEfinancing difficulties that contains internal and external factors. Thethird chapter concentrates on the experience of world's major developedcountries and regions in SME financing, analysis and comparison ofthe United States, Japan and Singapore. The fourth chapter studiesfinancing solutions for SMEs, proposes several solutions to solvefinancing difficulties of SMEs in China, Specially mentions the caseof the first issue of"Zhangjiang High-technology Small andMedium Enterprise"Collective bond in 2011.The fifth chapter talks about establishing a system security to solve the problem of financing SMEs.
