Although the predictors of creativity are enormous and complex, we just selected intra-Hierarchy wage dispersions and status striving motivation often ignored by previous researches to explore the relationship among the three variables through theoretical and empirical methods. In addition, this paper chose constraint adherence as a comparable variable to investigate the different influences of intra-hierarchy and status striving motivation on creative performance and constraint adherence in order to provide some valuable suggestions for practical management. This thesis was divided into six chapters. Chapter 1 was mainly introduction which expatiated the background, significance, investigative object, investigative method and purpose and structural arrangement. Chapter 2 was literature review about relevant theories. In the Chapter 3, put forward the theoretical model of intra-hierarchy, personal performance and status striving motivation and hypothesis. Chapter 4 was variable measurement and acquisition of data. Especially presented and tested the dimension of status striving motivation with qualitative research and quantitative research Chapter 5 deeply demonstrated the methods of this research, and conducted the data analysis according to the research model. The results showed: (1) status striving motivation is comprised of rational striving motivation and emotional striving motivation; (2) intra-hierarchy wage dispersion had a significant positive impact on the performance, but it didn't significantly influence on constraint adherence; (3) status striving motivation was a moderator between intra-hierarchy wage dispersion and adherence constraint. Finally, we brought up the conclusion of this study, elaborated on the theoretical and practical significance, proposed the research limitations and future study directions.
