Researching The Behavior Of Government In Building Equitable Income Distribution During The Transition Period

Since the economic system reform and industrialization, China has made tremendous achievements, the economic and social life has changed enormously, the social wealth increased continuously, the living standards of the people improved constantly during the process. At the same time, all kinds of social inequity have also appeared:inequality between the urban areas and the rural ones, between the regions, between the trades and the like. Therefore, it is urgent to find a solution to the problem.The paper thus will focus on the residents'income distribution of China, investigating the status quo and reasons about Chinese income distribution changes during the transition period. Finally, based on the experience of foreign government regulation, the paper will take some suggestions and countermeasures on how to improve such behaviors from the government. In current economic system, the government should pay more attention to the construction of a fair distribution of income. In the initial distribution, the government should properly handle the relationship between the government and the market, and should further develop the market mechanism in the basic role of income distribution through economic means, virtue means and the rule of law activities; In the field of redistribution, the government should play the vital role in the secondary distribution through taxes, social security and other means; In the third area of distribution, the government should also lead the third-party departments and help them play a better part in building social equality.
