As world economy has entered the "financializition" stage, financializition trend of shipping industry is also obvious. The financial crisis triggered by the U.S. economy crisis has brought a huge impact on shipping market and afterwards the dry bulk shipping market is facing a lot of uncertainties beyond control and hard to forecast.Capesize dry bulk carrier (DWT 100,000-300,000 MT) is an important part of international dry bulk shipping market. At present, the most large capsize vessel is MV VALE BRASIL (DWT 400,000MT) owned by Vale. Capesize carrier is widely used to transport ore and coal, and a little grain or bauxite. BCI, which indicates the capsize bulk carrier market trend, has experienced fluctuately increase, higher volatility, sharp decline and a steady recover. How to deal with market trends in post-crisis era and determine the future direction of development has become the most concern of shipping companies operating capsize vessels.This paper makes analysis on capsize fleet operating strategy from the view of shipping companies. Basis of the research on the Capesize Fleet Operating Strategy, to present the suggestion on the Capesize Fleet Operating of the shipping companies.
