Recently with the rapid development and competition of landscape industry and construction industry, more and more enterprises regard outdoor landscape project cost management as a major challenge in business management. Therefore, the optimization of outdoor landscape project cost management has become an important indicator to measure the level of company management. More importantly, it has a direct impact to the effect of an area landscape, company's profits and brand effectiveness.The Company's long-term strategic development is also closely related.Company has been setting in real estate development and sales, property management, consulting services and property management in one. Especially in Fuzhou it has been successfully completed some outdoor landscape projects, such as Bright Moon Garden, High Lake Garden, Rose Garden and other commercial landscape projects and residential project. But the company's projects have been too much invested. Some projects lost money. Therefore we investigate its reason and find landscape project cost management needs to be optimized. Executive force is insufficient. Construction management is not perfect. There are other cost management problems such as existence of backward management, lack of motivation, staff awareness, warehousing management confusion. In order to solve these problems, according to the project cost management theory and scientific management methods, We design a scheme to meet company's project cost management optimization.By analyzing landscape project cost management and company's development strategy, we can find the problem and the causes. Through the application of cost management theory and knowledge, in the bidding management, construction technology, warehousing management and post evaluation aspects, we put forward a specific optimization scheme. This scheme includes three parts:the first part is the early stage of project. In this stage we design a bidding procedure. The second part is to do well in contract management. The project department should establish construction progress and resource planning, pay more attention to quality cost management, promote warehouse material management. The third part is the stage of completion. At this time we should make some evaluation on the whole project and employee's performance. Aiming at the optimization scheme we put forward the safeguard measures and suggestions. The optimization scheme has been practiced in the company's outdoor landscape projects - Royal Bay project. As a result the cost has been reduced and economic benefits have been increased.This paper based on the theoretical system of project cost management. According to the company's strategic development objectives and present situation of outdoor landscape cost management the author proposed the ideas, principles, and goals of the optimization scheme especially in the tender management, job performance evaluation, storage management respects. The optimization scheme has a certain reference value for the other outdoor landscape projects in this company.
