Study On Residential Income Distribution Gap In The Northwest Region

As we all know, the income gap is a real social problem indeed. As for it, we can easily find the related things according to statistics, politics, economics and other disciplines. Income gap is one of the important problems of economics field. With it influencing on the society and economy further, income gap has been paid more and more attention to. Income inequality of different people is obvious increasingly at present, as a result, the real problem should be studded further. Then, for the less developed northwestern region, how about the income distribution inequality, what kinds of the factors offecting the size of income gap of the northwestern region, and how to achieve the rationalization of income distribution, have been a hot issue, both real and troublesome.This paper, with the help of the theories of income distribution, the research achievement at home and abroad and the analyses of income distribution gap of residents of the northwestern region, comestible to ideas: after the reform and opening-up, the tendency of income distribution gap of the northwestern urban residents continues to expand in twists, to the maxinmum in 1996, and then tends to shrink, since 2005, it rised rapidly; the income gap of the northwestern rural residents was higher at the beginning of the reform and opening-up, but since 1992, it began to shrink, after the Western Development, it expanded gradually. Comparing the two gaps above-mentioned, the income distribution gap of urban-rural residents of the northwest has been in a rising trend. The study also finds that the income gap of urban-rural residents of the northwest made great contributions to the general income of the northwest, about 75% to 95%. Seeing that the income gap vary o the northwestern residents, therefore, there is a need for the further analyses of the factors of the three income gaps.This paper analyses the factors of income distribution gap which relates to economic growth, income distribution, public goods and the related system, and bases the ordinary model and the quasi-logarithm model to have a dual regression analysis on 15 norms of the affecting the three income gaps of the northwest by economic methods. Form the regression results, the level of urban unemployment rate, industrial structure, education, the degree of market and government intervention have reduced income gap of urban residents. While, the investment rate has played an increasing role. Economic growth rate the level of urban unemployment rate and the degree of market have reduced income gap of rural residents, while the dependence on foreign trade, transfer payments, pension insurance and education have played an increasing role for income gap of rural residents. Economic growth rate, the level of urban unemployment rate and the degree of market have reduced the income gap of urban-rural residents. While industrial structure, transfer payments, pension insurance and ownership structure have played an increasing role for the income gap of urban-rural residents. Besides, this paper also find that the level of economic development continues to widen the three income gaps, but the two appear to the relationship of the inverted U for a long time.About how to rationalize the income distribution gap of the northwestern residents, combining the realities, this paper proposes to gradually reverse income gap trend by speed up economy development of northwestern residents, to achieve equitable income distribution and rationalization by construct positive and effective way of income distribution, to narrow the income gap between groups by strengthen the building of public goods and public services, to change the widening inequality of income distribution by improving the system construction, to construct equitable income distribution environment by resolutely ban illegal income, to adjusting income distribution by starting from a different population, and reduce urban–rural income gap quickly. Thus these can provide scientific bases for rationalizing the income distribution of the northwest residents, and the social stabilize and development.
