Strategic change has been one of the most important business management decisions. It has always been concerned whether in academy or on the business. In this paper, it discussed the strategic change in perspective of the technical, and the impact of the strategic change on the technical rigidity. It also suggests that the technology will inevitably affect the strategic change, especially when the technology rigidity strong. Technology rigidity usually acts as: too much emphasis on targeted business; superstition of past technology; lack innovation; and limited absorption of new knowledge and skills. The dimension of the technology rigidity has been divided into 2 parts: the low development and asset-specificity. The low development means lacking the development on the research, prediction and technology- acquisition. Asset specificity means: companies invest on the tangible and intangible assets.In the study, there is another variable, corporate strategic change. The dimension of it should be divided into 3parts: the duration of the initial strategy; the adjustment of the business and the interest. The research suggests that the stronger of the technology rigidity, the more difficult of the corporate strategic change.In order to analyze, the methods of this study are the qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. It helps to know the problems of the research-enterprises on the strategic change and technical issues by interviews with managers, and the influence between the strategy change and technology rigidity. Besides that, it uses the questionnaire to collect the relevant data. The research makes the conclusions on the basis of the testing of the reliability and validates:(1) There is a significant relationship between low development and strategic change.(2) There is a significant relationship between asset specificity and strategic change.(3) There is a significant positive correlation between technology rigidity and strategic change.
