Internet technology has been staying in a state of fast development. Web 1.0 technology has become past, its new generation. Web 2.0 technologies, is affecting and changing people's life. Many of its application, such as blog, Wiiki, Tags, RSS, and social networking sites (SNS) are so popular currently. Especially social networking sites, such as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter,LinkedIn, YouTube, Friends and so on, have become part of people's life. People use them to connect with family and friends, make new friends, play games, listen to music, shopping, and learn news happened in their real life etc.Not only independent individuals'life has been changed by SNS, companies now have more options of business model to choose, such as Groupon, Crowdsourcing, and many other businesses through SNS, blogs, wikis, and other web 2.0 applications. Especially for social networking sites, many companies have noticed their business value, and have created profile on those sites, such as Tesco,02, Sainsbury, Amazon, Dior, Apple, Blackberry, Nestle and so on. The characteristic of extremely fast information spreading and immense number of users make enterprisers notice their marketing potential and start adopting those sites into their business activities. However, doing business on social networking sites is still immature and vulnerable, which attracts many businessmen and academic scholars start to research it, in order to help firms take full advantage of social networking sites, and achieve the goal of maximum of profit.This study will focus on studying the communication system and information spreading system of social networking sites, and their application in marketing area. The purpose is to find out the factors which may affect consumers' purchase intention on SNS.
