With rising income in China, adults' health is a growing issue. Followingthe literature review of the health classification criteria and influencing factors, the health concept is defined as three aspects. The first is health self-assessment results, which refers to the physical health and mental health; then it is the low frequency of illness in the short-term (the past six months or four weeks) during the observation time; finally, in the long term, it does not have chronic diseases in the general, or a similar history of such diseases but effectively controlled. Then the paper analyzes the health with two properties as consumer goods and investment goods, explores the theoretical relationship between incomes, and describes the treatment behavior of consumers between health and income performance. Health is both the result of investment in human capital and the basic conditions of the labor input. At the same time, we use the data of China Health Nutrition Survey (CHNS) and the Chinese Family Panel Studies (CFPS) to describe the status quo of adult health and income between the nearly20years ranging from1989to2009. As incomes rise, the physical condition of adult declined; sick relied mainly on self-solve; number of health services had gone up, but the total proportion was low; the proportion of hypertension screening, blood and gynecological examinations was higher; the payment of medical insurance was low. Secondly, in terms of revenue, although in recent years, revenues are increased overall magnitude, but there is the income gap between urban and rural areas. Comparison of the degree of attention in the health and income, adults pay more and more attention on income but the health problems have been neglected. Finally, it uses2004-2009panel data of the CHNS to do empirical research on the relationship between health and income. By examining the research with the STATA software and Hausman hypothesis, we find that it has an inverted U-shaped relationship between health and income on China's adults. Income exists a threshold, and health and income are proportional to below this threshold. They are inversely proportional to this threshold above. It presences inverted U-shaped relationship between health and age. The attribute variables of gender, domicile, level of education is conform to the model assumptions. The article concludes that adults have an inverted U-shaped relationship between health and income in China and the same relationship are between the health and age. Then the high level education could promote health, and women hold more health stock which likes the urban residents. It also concludes that adults of our country show the trend of great importance to income and ignoring the health issue in the past20years. The reason of these phenomena is that governments and individuals pay too much attention on infrastructure construction but neglect the investment in human capital; the absolute income gap, the relative gap and the gap between urban and rural areas increased the imbalance; medical institutions emphasis clinical care, neglect of health promotion and health education too much. Finally, it recommendations that we should pay more attention to the health promotion and disease prevention education, at the same time we should develop the awareness of health of all adults; Second, we should strengthen labor protection, improve the health insurance efforts, and prevent the production of occupational diseases for enterprises and workers. Finally, we should increase the social security work and effective equalization promotes the public welfare. And all adults should also have a decent income and good health to enjoy a happy life.
