Landslide is the most common form of geological disasters, rainfall is the main incentive ofthe landslide hazard, due to the natural environment of Nanjing, the rainfall inducement inNanjing landslide disasters is particularly outstanding. The landslide has a great harm tohuman society and threatening people’s lives and property safety, so landslide rainfallforecasting has been one of the hot topics in landslide studies, and meanwhile in order toeffectively minimize the casualties and property loss caused by the unexpected landslidehazard, the study of landslide risk assessment also has very important practical significance.On the basis of the geological hazards-prone areas, this paper uses the historic landslidedata of Nanjing, meteorological data (rainfall) and the model of geological hazard forecast toestablish the method of landslide hazards weather forecast and determine the landslidehazards weather forecast in Nanjing; then calculates the landslide risk and vulnerability,builds the model of landslide hazard risk assessment to determine the technical process ofNanjing landslide risk assessment. Then an information sharing platform is developed, thisplatform is based on the technical process of landslide hazards forecast and landslide riskassessment, it uses C#as the development language and it applies the following techniques:the database technology, the ArcGIS Server technology, the.NET technology, the remote calltechnology, the partial refresh technology of AJAX and the spatial interpolation technology. Italso merges the geographic information system functions with the business functions oflandslide hazards forecast and risk assessment together.This platform can achieve a dynamic and scientific management of the basic data oflandslide hazards and the real-time meteorological data, it can combine the real-time rainfalldata to achieve the prediction of landslide hazard in Nanjing, and according to the predictionresults the landslide risk zoning map and vulnerability zoning map are completed,and use thetwo maps, Nanjing landslide hazard risk classification and risk mapping can be eventuallycompleted, then it publishes the landslide hazards prediction information and the risk assessment results on line in real time. At the same time, it provides the functions of theinformation retrieval and statistical analysis and so on, ultimately we hope this platform canprovide a decision support for the landslide hazards prevention and mitigation, and also canprovide references for other cities which need to build landslide hazards prediction and riskassessment platform.
